Biography of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

In their 25 years together, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has recorded music that ranges from rock to pop to country. Under their aegis the 3-disc Will the Circle Be Unbroken album in 1972 brought together many country music greats (including Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, Roy Acuff, and Jimmy Martin) and brought national recognition to The NGDB. Their WTCBU Vol. 2 (1989) won a Grammy. Through their music they have introduced country to millions of city and suburban listeners. ~ David Vinopal
