Biography of The Fugees

Wyclef Jean ("Clef") and Prakazrel Michel ("Pras") are producers/MCs of Haitian descent who joined with rapper/singer Lauryn Hill to form the Fugees. Their 1994 debut, Blunted on Reality, combined reggae, rock, and funk with a ragga-tinged delivery and was released on Columbia Records.The Fugees released their second album, The Score, in early 1996. The Score became the surprise hip-hop hit of the year, reaching number one on the pop charts and selling over four million copies within its first four months of release. ~ John Bush
