One of the most popular acts of the British invasion, The DC5 roared into America on the coattails of The Beatles, but had their own successes, amassing two dozen hit singles and thirteen hit albums in just three years (1964-1967)! They influenced many American bands, including Paul Revere And The Raiders and Kiss.Proponents of the Tottenham sound (a loud mix of American R&B and jazz with standard American rock & roll), The DC5 built much of their attack around Dennis Payton's saxophone.
