Biography of The Crows

A Harlem group that was discovered at the famed Apollo during Amateur Night in the '50s. Lead singer Daniel "Sonny" Norton was an underrated vocalist. Harold Major, Gerald Hamilton, And Mark Jackson, who doubled as a guitarist, were the other members. They scored their lone smash in 1954 for Rama with the memorable "Gee," reaching number 14 on the pop charts. ~ Ron Wynn
