Biography of Simon & Garfunkel

Phenomenally successful, Simon & Garfunkel started out in folk but assimilated the lessons of folk-rock and devised a sound all their own. Simon's songs sometimes show too much English-major cleverness and Garfunkel's romanticism can wear thin, but their records generally are among the most enduring of the '60s and jump in maturity in keeping with the time between them. ~ Bruce Eder
