Biography of Ronnie Earl
Guitarist Ronnie Earl (b Ronald Horvath, 1953) fronts this New-England-based blues band. Earl did a stint in the early '70s with Boston's Guitar Jonny & the Rhythm Rockers, a group featuring John Nicholas (Asleep at the Wheel), Fran Christina (The Fabulous Thunderbirds), plus Mark Kazanoff and Sarah Brown, now both mainstays of the Austin, TX, blues circuit. Earl then replaced Duke Robillard in the nine-piece Roomful of Blues in the early '80s, forming The Broadcasters in the late '80s as a side project. Capable of playing most any style of blues there is, Earl is a consummate guitarist and is well represented on record. ~ Cub Koda
