Biography of Porcupine Tree
A member of No Man, Steven Wilson has been recording experimental prog-rock as Porcupine Tree since the mid-'80s. His first wide release, On the Sunday of Life, appeared in 1991 on Delerium Records. Up the Downstair (Delerium), The Sky Moves Sideways (C&S; 1995), Signify (1997, Delerium) and Coma Divine (1999, Delerium) are also available, as are two limited-edition collections of outtakes, Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape and Staircase Infinities. Wilson's live band includes keyboardist Richard Barbieri (Japan), bass player Colin Edwin and percussionist Charles Maitland. Lightbulb Sun followed in 2000. ~ John Bush
