Biography of Oleta Adams
The youngest daughter of a minister, Adams' first musical experience was in the choir of her father's church. Discovered by Tears for Fears while performing solo in a Hyatt Regency lounge in Kansas City, MO, she was featured prominently on their Seeds of Love album. Tears for Fears member Roland Orzabal produced her 1990 debut album, Circle of One, featuring the hit "Get Here." She was a 1991 Grammy nominee. Adams' other recordings include 1993's Evolution, 1995's Movin' On, and 1997's gospel outing Come Walk With Me. ~ Scott Bultman
