Biography of Local H

Scott Lucas (vocals, guitar) and Joe Daniels (drums) began playing together in high school in Illinois; additional members never worked out, so Local H is a two-piece that plays feedbacked indie rock. Daniels' experience as a hip-hop DJ guaranteed that their debut, Ham Fisted, would have good rhythm. Pack Up the Cats followed in 1998, but was lost in the shuffle when Polygram merged with Universal. Daniels left the band, and Lucas took a three-year hiatus. Local H returned in 2000 with Here Comes the Zoo, which featured new drummer Brian St. Clair. The No Fun EP followed in 2003. ~ John Bush
