Biography of Liquid Tension Experiment

Liquid Tension Experiment was less a band and more of a studio project. The group was one of the prog supergroups assembled on Magna Carta Records. This one was composed of Tony Levin (King Crimson, Bruford Levin Upper Extremities, Bozzio Levin Stevens, Peter Gabriel), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Transatlantic), John Myung (Dream Theater, Platypus, Jelly Jam) and Jordan Rudess (Dixie Dregs, Dream Theater). Their first instrumental CD was simply a self-titled one. It was released in 1998. The following year they released the follow up, again sans vocals, Liquid Tension Experiment 2. ~ Gary Hill
