Biography of Linda Ronstadt

Coming out of the Los Angeles folk music coffeehouse circuit in the mid '60s with her original group, The Stone Poneys, Ronstadt was an early proponent of the country-rock movement spearheaded by groups like Poco and the Eagles, who were originally her backup band. With wide-ranging tastes and spot-on intonation, the sweet-voiced Ronstadt has dealt with many different styles in the intervening years with great popular success. ~ Dan Heilman
