Biography of La Ley
The Chilean group La Ley was formed in Santiago by a core duo of Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo and Luciano Andrés Rojas with guitarist Andres Bobe, bass player Archi Frugone, and drummer Mauricio Clavera in supporting roles. Their 1989 debut album became a huge hit in Chile, led by the singles "Desiertos" and "Que Va a Suceder." Second album Doble Opuesto featured a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Angie," and La Ley soon grew in popularity in Argentina and Mexico as well as their native land. Though Bobe died in April 1994, the group pressed on, releasing Invisible in 1995 and Vertigo three years later. La Ley has also released the compilation Clasicos del Rock en Espanol. ~ John Bush
