Biography of Kate Bush

A preeminent singer/songwriter with a unique sound and style, Bush emerged in 1978 with "Wuthering Heights." Her high keening voice has mellowed into a beautifully lyrical instrument, while her music and lyrics define the meaning of sensuousness in subject and feeling, especially in the late '80s. Her music is tasteful, intelligent, and stimulating beyond the libido. Her major inspiration was The Beatles and her mentor, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.
