Biography of Jodeci
A new jack swing ensemble whose debut LP was a huge hit, Jodeci pairs North Carolina brothers Joel and Cedric Halley and Dalvin and Donald Degrate, Jr., better known as "Devante Swing." Forever My Lady made them huge stars in 1991, selling over two million copies and securing a Top 20 pop hit with "Come and Talk to Me." "Forever My Lady" and "Stay" were also major R&B successes, as was their cover of Stevie Wonder's "Lately," which was issued on the Uptown Unplugged release. Jodeci followed that in 1994 with Diary of a Mad Band, which debuted at the top of the R&B charts. ~ Ron Wynn
