Biography of Gary Moore

England's Gary Moore played guitar with Colosseum before joining a side band created by Thin Lizzy vocalist Phil Lynott called Greedy Bastards. Moore was then asked to join Thin Lizzy in 1977, which is where he gained a lot of attention with his musicianship. After two years with them, Moore was asked to leave, so Moore then became a solo artist. Although more popular in Europe and Japan, Moore remains an idol among many American guitarists, and his albums continue to sell well around the world. He also does a lot of session work with artists of all types. ~ John Book
