Biography of Diana Ross
Diana Ross, prot‚g‚ of Motown president Berry Gordy, stepped out of The Supremes in 1970 for a solo career that has included successes on record, stage, and film. As lead singer of The Supremes and as a soloist, she has had more #1 records than any other female artist in history. She left Motown for RCA in 1981, a move that diminished her record-selling power.
