Biography of Charles Earland
Talented Hammond B-3 organist from Philadelphia. Has had his own combos from the 60s to present, sporting a virtuosity that has few rivals. Occasionally uses odd meters. Primarily a groove player. ~ Michael G. Nastos
Biography of Najee
A popular multi-instrumentalist whose style is very similiar to Kenny G., Dave Koz and George Howard. His releases feature heavily produced, tightly arranged covers of urban contemporary songs, often include appearances by R&B vocalists and have very limited solos and improvisational space. A saxophonist, flutist and occasional keyboardist, Najee makes no claims to being a jazz musician, but his releases are marketed as "contemporary" jazz, and he's aired on lite jazz stations. He's recorded several sessions for EMI and Manhattan; all are available on CD. ~ Ron Wynn
