Biography of Brian Keane

This virtuoso guitarist and sought-after producer has performed with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Bobby McFerrin, Larry Coryell, and Paco de Lucia. In addition to his own contemporary jazz albums, Keane is an accomplished composer and arranger who has written soundtracks for award-winning films. His score to the documentary Suleyman the Magnificent caught the ear of Celestial Harmonies owner Eckart Rahn, who eventually released the soundtrack. The label has since commissioned several other albums of Middle East-inspired instrumentals from Keane, with Turkish multi-instrumentalist Omar Faruk Tekbilek.
