Teddy Riley, one of the most innovative and successful R&B producers of the '80s and '90s, formed Blackstreet in 1994 with Chauncey Hannibal, Levi Little, and David Hollister. Under Riley's direction, Blackstreet's smooth fusion of pop, R&B, and hip-hop became an across-the-board hit upon its release. Another Level, featuring the monster hit "No Diggity," followed in 1996, and in 1999 the group returned with Finally. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
