“Oh my gosh! I didn’t know my BlackBerry could do that…”
Yes, Katherine that's right.
Your BlackBerry can stream your iTunes music!
Just watch out for that peeping lady about to jump you.

BOO! Has anyone else noticed this? The usuage of "ghost" for band names, songs, and albums is
*out of control* on the current scene. Fresh in, "Chris Martin says the new Coldplay album was influenced by ghosts". There's got to be some correlation to society for this fascination, right? anybody have insight?
Say What? Check it for yourself:
Dan Friel's EP, Ghost Town
Neutral Milk Hotel's, "Ghost"
Cut Copy's album Ghost Colours
The Black Angels' album Directions To See a Ghost
Cloud Cult single "The Ghost inside our House"
Ghostland Observatory
Stars' single "The Ghost of Genova Heights"
Band of Horses' single "Is There a Ghost"
Arthur and Yu's single "The Ghost of Old Bull Lee"
Spoon song "The Ghost Of You Lingers"
Seabear album The Ghost That Carried Us Away
Annie Lennox song "Ghosts in my Machine"

Some cool factoids:
1) The pitches in musical scales are likely derived from language. Turns out, aspects of spoken English and Mandarin correlate to the intervals between notes in a chromatic scale (the black and white piano keys in an octave). Is it music we love or the sound of our own voices?
2) When musicians improvise, the lateral prefrontal areas of their brains — responsible for planning and self-censorship — basically turn off. Meanwhile, the medial prefrontal cortex — linked to self-expression and activities like telling a story about yourself — lights up.
3) Getting
"Eye of the Tiger" stuck in your head is the result of a glitch in your auditory cortex. This part of your brain processes sounds and stores them for later recall. It powers up and can start crooning uncontrollably after hearing just a few notes of a familiar tune. Want it to stop? Listen to the whole song or do some math.

This week in the iTunes Top 100::
Top 5 Songs:
| 1 (2) |
"Bleeding Love" - Leona Lewis |
I have a feeling you will be hearing this song a lot in the coming months.
 |
| 2 (N/A) |
"Lollipop (Main)" - Lil' Wayne
| The self-proclaimed "Best Rapper Alive" tries to prove it by writing a rap about his favorite carnival treat. |
| 3 (12) |
"Shawty Get Loose" - Lil Mama
| Favorite lyric:
"Been on the grind since butt-touch-potty". Wow. |
| 4 (1) |
"Love In This Club" -
Usher and Young Jeezy
| I tried pretty hard not to like this song, but the beat gets the best of me every time. |
| 5 (3) |
"No Air" - Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown |
I have no problems, however, with hating this song. Too easy. |
Greatest Gainer:
| 2. (N/A) |
"Lollipop (Main)" - Lil' Wayne |
Weezy's heavily anticipated (and repeatedly delayed) release of "Tha Carter III" releases in May, but the hype has already begun.
 |
Farthest Faller:
| (N/A) (54) |
"Shipping Up To Boston" - Dropkick Murphys
| These Irish Bostonians enjoyed their (drunken) day in the sun on St. Patty's day, then slide back into sobriety, on the outside the iTunes Top 100. |
Entering the iTunes Top 100 this week:
| 79. |
"That's How You Know"" |
Amy Adams |
| 82. |
"Hollywood's Not America" |

Danity Kane, the all-female R&B group (and "stars" of
MTV's Making The Band 4), are releasing their not-so-anticipated CD "Welcome To The Dollhouse" this week.
How fitting that a CD released by 5 of
Diddy's personal puppets references the fact that they are, themselves, both fake and plastic.

How many times can
Diddy do this, really? I realize the right answer is probably "until he stops making boatloads of money for doing it", but I am asking on behalf of people who still prefer to music they enjoy to be written by the actual artist.
Diddy's show is responsible for (besides Danity Kane) bubble-gum boy band
"O-Town", dysfunctional rap group "Da Band" , "Day26" (or as I like to call them: New Edition, Jr.) and "Donnie J.", a dude so lame he makes Lance Bass look like
Jean Claude Van Damme in "Lionheart".
So, Puff Daddy, go back to your
matching sweatsuits with Mase, making lackluster albums under your own name, and being a sidekick for someone who is clearly more talented than you. Do whatever you want, just stop using pretty faces and the young MTV demographic to make yourself rich(er).

"Love In This Club" - Usher & Young Jeezy |
Early nominee for "Best Song About Having Sex In Night Club" category at next year's Grammy's. |
| 2 (13) |
"Bleeding Love" - Leona Lewis |
Brit songstress reaches her highest ranking yet, also needs love transfusion. |
| 3 (4) | "No Air" - Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown |
Jordin's best single still sparkling with some help from the "Prince of R&B". |
| 4 (3) |
"Love Song" - Sara Bareilles |
Sara sticks around, using her tour and commercial as momentum |
| 5 (5) |
"Low" - Flo Rida and T-Pain |
Upon hearing this song for the 582nd time, I finally bought some Apple Bottom Jeans and boots with the fur. |
Greatest Gainer:

"How Many Words" - Blake Lewis |
His guest appearance on American Idol reminded America he still existed, then they forgot again. |
